  • The data set contains a seamless polygonal layer representing the land cover in Belgium for the year 2006 and the year 2012. The polygons are spread over 32 classes from the CORINE Land Cover legend which are present un Belgium. The minimum map unit is 25 ha. The conceptual scale is 1:100 000. The data set also contains a polygon layer showing changes of more than 5 ha in the land cover between 2006 and 2012.

  • Top50Map is a digital version of the NGI’s topographic cartography on a scale of 1:50 000. The images come from the symbolisation of the objects and the themes in the topo-geographic inventory of the Belgian territory (ITGI), which is built and kept up-to-date by the NGI. It can be used for on-screen viewing or printed on scales between 1:25 000 and 1:50 000 (recommended threshold values). Top50Map is meant for regional use.

  • Points Of Interest - Cult elements contains point elements relating to the cult, namely churchs (anglican, catholic, orthodox, protestant), mosques, synanogues, buddhist temples, chapels, abbeys, priories and other religious buildings or small monuments in Belgium.

  • Top10Vector – High tension network is the vector data set of the high tension network in Belgium. It includes two classes. First class: high tension line segments. Second class: power pylons. This data set can be bought via the corresponding hyperlink.

  • AdminMap is the digital version of the administrative map. Two versions exist: the most complete one on the scale of 1:300 000 and a simplified version on the scale of 1:500 000. These maps show the different administrative units on the Belgian territory, from the federal State to the center of the districts for the 1:500 000. The map also shows the map grid of the National Geographic Institute. An index allows localizing the different units. The index also contains information on the linguistic statutes and on the postal codes.

  • This AtomFeed download service provides access to federal datasets that are reported under the INSPIRE Directive. The datasets can be accessible for free or under conditions.

  • Orthophotos are digital aerial photographs that have been adjusted for lens distortion, topographic relief and camera tilt. This cover is renewed every three years. The orthophotographs have a minimal resolution of 50 cm. The dataset is generated from the harmonisation of the datasets owned by the Belgian administrative regions. The dataset is INSPIRE compliant. The dataset is downloadable per NGI mapsheet at scale 1:50000.

  • The product is made of 6 "high resolution layers" covering all the Belgian territory as part of a European-wide coverage. The 6 layers concern 6 distinct themes: Imperviousness, Tree cover density, Forest type, Permanent grasslands, Wetlands and Permanent waterbodies. The 6 layers were produced by an automatic classification based on satellite images and collateral data and achieved by private companies (EEA service providers), and they were verified and enhanced by Belgium. At the Belgian level, verification and enhancements were made by AGIV for the northern part and SPW for the southern part. The NGI coordinated the project.

  • Top10Vector is Belgium's series of topographic vector data. The data set contains 37 feature classes, which are divided into eight themes (road network, railroad network, power grid, constructions, land use and vegetation, local relief and particular zones), all of which correspond to a so-pecific data set and can be obtained separately via the corresponding hyperlink.
