The files contain the population characteristics (total, gender and/or age groups) by statistical sector in Belgium on January 1st, according to the Belgian definition of the population. The Belgian definition does not take into account the 12-months criterion and excludes asylum seekers. The entities included in the dataset represent the Belgian rail transport network in the sense of the Inspire European directive. The dataset comprises several classes and is in accordance with the INSPIRE specifications. The RailLink class represents, in a linear manner, all of the rail links between each pair of dots for the network considered. The RailwayStationNode class represents occasionally all of the stations located along the network. In addition to this are two classes without geometry. The RailwatType class ranks the segments according to the type of rail transport for which they were designed. All the segments for this dataset belong to the train category. The "RailwaytElectrification" class lists the segments according to whether they are electrified or not.

'Top10Vector – Local topography' is the dataset of the Belgian orography. This dataset consists of 8 feature types. The embankments [LR_embankment], earth banks [LR_earthbank] and steeps [LR_steep] are described by a linear element at the height of the ridge line. Cone-shaped slag heaps [LR_coneshapedslagheap], historic mounds [LR_historicmound] and cave entrances [LR_caveentrance] are represented by points. For the embankments, earth banks and slag heaps with a sufficiently large horizontal occupation, the additional slope surface [LR_additionalslopesurface] is also shown. Finally, dune zones [LR_dunezone] are also indicated. The dataset can be downloaded via the links in 'Access' at the bottom of this page.

The entities included in the dataset represent the physical network in the sense of the Inspire European directive. The dataset comprises several classes and is in accordance with the INSPIRE specifications. The Wetland class represents poorly drained or periodically flooded portions of land, the soil of which is saturated with water but where vegetation is nevertheless able to develop. The StandingWater class represents flooded areas that are, nevertheless, completely surrounded by land.

The dataset of the electoral cantons represents the geographical unit used for the organization of the elections. The electoral cantons were digitised based on the definitions in the Annex of the Electoral Code, which is managed by the FPS Home Affairs. The dataset consists of a single feature type, namely the boundaries of the electoral cantons [electoralcanton]. This dataset can be downloaded via the links in 'Access' at the bottom of this page.

The entities included in dataset represent the Belgian waterway transport network in the sense of the Inspire European directive. The dataset comprises several classes and is in accordance with the INSPIRE specifications. The class represents, in a linear manner, all of the waterway links between each pair of dots for the network considered. In addition to this is one class without geometry. The RestrictionForWaterCehicles class specifies for each segment the maximum tonnage of the building using the segment.

Electricity network is the INSPIRE vector data set originated from the High-Tension network of the product TOP10Vector of the National Geographic Institute in Belgium. The Electricity network is regularly updated with the ELIA Group data sources. It includes the "ElectricityCable" features and the "Pole" features in accordance with the INSPIRE specifications.

The national wastewater-based epidemiological surveillance monitors public health parameters in several wastewater treatment plants across Belgium. This dataset contains the catchment areas per treatment plant since the beginning of the surveillance in September 2020.

Buildings is the INSPIRE 2D vector data set of the "Constructions" layer originated from the Top10vector product of the National Geographic Institute in Belgium . It includes the "Building" features and the "OtherConstruction" features in accordance with the INSPIRE specifications.
