  • Points Of Interest - Cult elements contains point elements relating to the cult, namely churchs (anglican, catholic, orthodox, protestant), mosques, synanogues, buddhist temples, chapels, abbeys, priories and other religious buildings or small monuments in Belgium.

  • The entities included in the dataset represent the Belgian rail transport network in the sense of the Inspire European directive. The dataset comprises several classes and is in accordance with the INSPIRE specifications. The RailLink class represents, in a linear manner, all of the rail links between each pair of dots for the network considered. The RailwayStationNode class represents occasionally all of the stations located along the network. In addition to this are two classes without geometry. The RailwatType class ranks the segments according to the type of rail transport for which they were designed. All the segments for this dataset belong to the train category. The "RailwaytElectrification" class lists the segments according to whether they are electrified or not.

  • The entities included in dataset represent the Belgian waterway transport network in the sense of the Inspire European directive. The dataset comprises several classes and is in accordance with the INSPIRE specifications. The class represents, in a linear manner, all of the waterway links between each pair of dots for the network considered. In addition to this is one class without geometry. The RestrictionForWaterCehicles class specifies for each segment the maximum tonnage of the building using the segment.

  • Buildings is the INSPIRE 2D vector data set of the "Constructions" layer originated from the Top10vector product of the National Geographic Institute in Belgium . It includes the "Building" features and the "OtherConstruction" features in accordance with the INSPIRE specifications.

  • The eTOD digital terrain model (DTM) is a homogeneous and regular point grid that models the height of the ground level for Belgian territory and the height of the sea level in the maritime zone. The primary source is the NGI DTM 5m, which is itself compiled based on the most recent altimetry data of the three Belgian regions and is periodically updated per map sheet at a scale of 1:50,000 using recent stereoscopic aerial images. Where available, updates from the notification platform for aviation obstacles and terrain changes are also integrated. For this DTM, the resolution (1 arcsecond) and the coordinate reference system (WGS84 + EGM2008) are used as defined in the eTOD specifications.

  • The dataset of the judicial cantons and arrondissements represents the geographical subdivisions used in the organization of the courts. The dataset was digitized based on the definitions in the ‘Judicial Code – Annex: Definition of jurisdiction and seat of courts and tribunals’, which is managed by the FPS Justice. The dataset consists of 3 feature types, including the boundaries of the judicial cantons [judicialcanton] and arrondissements [judicialarrondissement]. Each judicial canton has at least one peace court [peacecourt], which also constitutes an object type in the dataset. This dataset can be downloaded via the links in 'Access' at the bottom of this page.

  • The European Urban Atlas provides reliable, inter-comparable, high-resolution land use and land cover data for 800 Functional Urban Area (FUA) for the 2012 reference year in EEA39 countries. This datasets contains the FUA for Belgium (Antwerpen, Brugge, Bruxelles_Brussel, Charleroi, Gent, Kortrijk, Leuven, Liege, Mons, Namur and Oostende).

  • Riparian zones represent transitional areas occurring between land and freshwater ecosystems, characterised by distinctive hydrology, soil and biotic conditions and strongly influenced by the stream water. They provide a wide range of riparian functions (e.g. chemical filtration, flood control, bank stabilization, aquatic life and riparian wildlife support, etc.) and ecosystem services. The Riparian Zones products will support the objectives of several European legal acts and policy initiatives, such as the EU Biodiversity Strategy to 2020, the Habitats and Birds Directives and the Water Framework Directive. Two complementary product groups provide detailed information on the state and characteristics of riparian zones across Belgium: 1. Land Cover / Land Use (LCLU) 2. Green Linear Elements (GLE)

  • Territorial Divisions is the vectorproduct representing the geographical units of Belgium. The product consists of 16 feature types grouped into 4 topics: ‘AdminVector’, ‘Judicial cantons and arrondissements’, ‘Electoral cantons’ and ‘Postal cantons’. The AdminVector dataset includes the statistical, geographical and administrative units of Belgium. The dataset of the judicial cantons and arrondissements displays the geographical units used for the organisation of the courts. The dataset of the electoral cantons consists of geographical units used for the organisation of elections. The dataset of the postal cantons includes the boundaries of the Belgian postal cantons. The product can be downloaded in its entirety via the links in 'Access' at the bottom of this page. Each of the themes is also available as separate datasets on their own webpage.
