INSPIRE compliant discovery service for geographic information made available by the Belgian Federal Government.
This AtomFeed download service provides access to federal datasets that are reported under the INSPIRE Directive. The datasets can be accessible for free or under conditions.
The Lambert 72-08 conversion web service is a free SOAP web service which the NGI puts at the disposal of the private sector and of the general public. It allows converting coordinates pairs from Lambert 1972 into Lambert 2008 and also the other way round.
Location of the address points on the Belgian territory. The result is obtained by merging the three regions on the basis of an XML file which has been supplied to BOSA for the BestAdress project.
Govroam is a " wifi roaming " solution. This service offers to the users a simple and secure access to the wireless network of their institution, but also to networks of other participating institutions. A user from an organization that participates in govroam will be able to connect to any wireless access point broadcasting govroam. The data provided here makes it possible to locate these access points.
AdminMap is the digital version of the administrative map. Two versions exist: the most complete one on the scale of 1:300 000 and a simplified version on the scale of 1:500 000. These maps show the different administrative units on the Belgian territory, from the federal State to the center of the districts for the 1:500 000. The map also shows the map grid of the National Geographic Institute. An index allows localizing the different units. The index also contains information on the linguistic statutes and on the postal codes.
Geodetic markers of which the 3D coordinates are precisely known in common Belgian reference systems.
This service allows the visualization of a mosaic of orthophotos made for the whole Belgian territory. Access is possible through either a Web Map Service (WMS) or a Web Map Tile Service (WMTS, more powerful). Orthophotos are digital aerial photographs that have been adjusted for lens distortion, topography and camera tilt. The orthophotographs are metrically more accurate than common aerial photographs. They are very valuable as reference information and also, for instance, for surveying parcels. The orthophotographs mosaic is created based on digital, colour aerial photographs acquired by the Belgian Regions. It is georeferenced in the Lambert2008 coordinates system. This cover is renewed every year. The orthophotographs have a minimal resolution of 25 cm.
The composite is produced every 5 minutes using the reflectivit data from the Wideumont and Jabbeke weather radars. This product is not publically available yet.
Hail products are derived from the observed vertical profiles of radar reflectivity and the NWP vertical profiles of temperature. Three types of products are generated. poh : probability of hail of any size (larger than 0.5 cm diameter)expressed in %. posh : probability of severe hail(larger than 2cm)expressed in %. mesh : maximum expected size of hailexpressed in mm of hailstone diameter. All products are generated every 5 minutes. This product is not publically available yet.
