- Permanent hydrographical alterations are assessed using a validated numerical model with appropriate resolution, applied first during the environmental impact study of a licensing procedure and refined, where required, by post-construction environmental monitoring. Monitoring is coordinated by RBINS, informed by the environmental monitoring programmes accompanying licenses for new infrastructure at sea. Not applicable — assessment is based on numerical modelling; in-situ current and wave data collected in the licensed area are used for model validation. Validated hydrodynamic numerical model, benchmarked against in-situ data using standard validation metrics (RMSE, bias, standard deviation, scatter plot, correlation coefficient, ROC curves).
