Généralités sur la provenance

Sampling follows the FASFC's annually-updated, risk-based control plan; analyses are carried out according to the method specified for each contaminant in the FASFC's technical data sheets. Monitoring is carried out by the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FASFC) under the EU Foodstuffs Regulation control programme. Fresh, unprocessed samples of fish, molluscs and crustaceans taken at the three Belgian fish auctions (Nieuwpoort, Ostend, Zeebrugge). Contaminant-specific analytical methods as specified in the FASFC technical data sheets (covering metals, dioxins/dioxin-like PCBs, PCBs, PAHs, PFAS and radiocaesium).
