Le plan parcellaire cadastral est l’un des éléments qui constitue la Documentation Patrimoniale. Il est défini comme «la représentation graphique et l’assemblage sur un plan de toutes les parcelles cadastrales plan du territoire belge ». Une parcelle cadastrale plan, telle que définie dans l'article 2 de l'Arrêté Royal du 30 juillet 2018, est une partie du territoire belge, géographiquement délimitée et identifiée par l’Administration Générale de la Documentation Patrimoniale sur le plan parcellaire cadastral, qui correspond à la superficie au sol d’une ou plusieurs parcelles cadastrales patrimoniales (bien immobilier tel que mentionné à l’article 472 du Code des impôts sur les revenus 1992 dans le chef duquel le revenu cadastral est fixé). Ce jeu de données correspond à la situation courante (actuelle) au moment de la consultation. Il est composé de quatorze couches géométriques. Les cinq premières sont les unités administratives à savoir la pays, les régions, les provinces, les arrondissements et les communes. Het kadastraal perceelplan is een van de elementen die deel uitmaken van de patrimoniumdocumentatie. Het wordt gedefinieerd als "de grafische voorstelling en verzameling op een plan van alle kadastrale planpercelen van het Belgische grondgebied". Er wird als „eine graphische Darstellung und die Zusammenfügung auf einem Lageplan aller zweidimensionalen Katasterparzellen des belgischen Staatsgebietes“ definiert. Der Katasterplan wird laufend von der Vermögensdokumentation aktualisiert mittels der Informationen, die bei juristischen Veränderungen (Eigentumswechsel) (auf der Grundlage von Urkunden, Erklärungen, Urteilen und Entscheiden) und physischen Veränderungen der Besitztümer (auf der Grundlage von Erklärungen, Plänen, Dokumenten, Schätzungen und Auskünften, die von den Gemeinden erteilt werden) erfasst werden; Er wird zudem durch Verbesserungsvorschläge auf Initiative der Vermögensdokumentation aktualisiert, wie in Artikel 5 bis 8 des Königlichen Erlasses vom 30. Juli 2018 beschrieben.
