Belgian climate simulations and projections for other Regional Climate Models (ALARO-0 – RMIB-UGent, COSMO-CLM - KULeuven) in line with the latest emission scenarios or Shared Socioeconomic Pathways are currently produced in the CORDEX.be II project and will be available by 2026 (https://cordex.meteo.be/). 2/ Climate indicators for a present (1975) and future (2085) target year under a mean and high impact scenario (view and download service with raster files): In the follow-up Belspo funded 'CICADA' project (2019-2021, https://www.belspo.be/belspo/brain-be/projects/FinalReports/CICADAbe_FinRep.pdf), these Belgian climate model projections were used to adjust the spread of climate change signals based on the larger model ensemble of all available CMIP5 Global Climate Model runs (https://pcmdi.llnl.gov/mips/cmip5/) and EURO-CORDEX Regional Climate Model runs (https://euro-cordex.net/060378/index.php.en). This multi-model ensemble of climate change signals or factors were used to apply a statistical downscaling or more specifically a quantile perturbation method on the observational climate grid from the Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium. Climate model simulations and projections for Belgium from the Regional Climate Model called ‘MAR’, which are forced by the latest CMIP6 Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (or SSP) as used in the Sixth and latest IPCC Assessment Report, are available through the University of Liège by: - FTP on ftp://climato.be/fettweis/MARv3.14/Belgium/ - HTTP on http://phypc15.geo.ulg.ac.be/fettweis/MARv3.14/Belgium/ The model outputs are available by degree of warming (ref/, 2deg/ using ssp370, 3deg/ using ssp370, 4deg/ using ssp585) or by full time series (the 4 SSP) in src/. Belgian climate simulations and projections for other Regional Climate Models (ALARO-0 – RMIB-UGent, COSMO-CLM - KULeuven) in line with the latest emission scenarios or Shared Socioeconomic Pathways are currently produced in the CORDEX.be II project and will be available by 2026 (https://cordex.meteo.be/). 2/ Climate indicators for a present (1975) and future (2085) target year under a mean and high impact scenario (view and download service with raster files): In the follow-up Belspo funded 'CICADA' project (2019-2021, https://www.belspo.be/belspo/brain-be/projects/FinalReports/CICADAbe_FinRep.pdf), these Belgian climate model projections were used to adjust the spread of climate change signals based on the larger model ensemble of all available CMIP5 Global Climate Model runs (https://pcmdi.llnl.gov/mips/cmip5/) and EURO-CORDEX Regional Climate Model runs (https://euro-cordex.net/060378/index.php.en). This multi-model ensemble of climate change signals or factors were used to apply a statistical downscaling or more specifically a quantile perturbation method on the observational climate grid from the Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium. From those ensembles, 5th, 50th, and 95th percentiles of changes, corresponding to a mean (50th percentiles) and high (5th or 95th percentiles) impact scenario, were obtained for the variables: precipitation, temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, global solar radiation and potential evapotranspiration. 1/ Dagelijkse klimaatmodelsimulaties en -projecties met een hoge ruimtelijke resolutie van 0.025° of 2.8km voor 3 regionale klimaatmodellen (downloadservice met NetCDF-bestanden): De dagelijkse klimaatsimulaties en projecties voor België werden geproduceerd in het kader van het door Belspo gefinancierde CORDEX.be I project (2015-2017). Deze klimaatmodelgegevens in NetCDF-formaat voor 3 regionale klimaatmodellen (ALARO-0, COSMO-CLM5.0-TERRA-URB en COSMO-CLM5.0) werden verkregen via een dynamische neerschaling van globale modelgegevens, waarna een regridding naar een gemeenschappelijk raster van 0.025° of 2.8 km werd toegepast. Belgische klimaatsimulaties en projecties voor andere regionale klimaatmodellen (ALARO-0 – RMIB-UGent, COSMO-CLM - KULeuven) in overeenstemming met de meest recente emissiescenario’s of “Shared Socioeconomic Pathways” worden momenteel uitgerekend in het CORDEX.be II-project en zullen beschikbaar zijn tegen 2026 (https://cordex.meteo.be/). 2/ Klimaatindicatoren voor een huidig (1975) en toekomstig (2085) doeljaar onder een gemiddeld en hoog impactscenario (view- en downloadservice met rasterbestanden): In het door Belspo gefinancierde vervolgproject “CICADA” (2019-2021, https://www.belspo.be/belspo/brain-be/projects/FinalReports/CICADAbe_FinRep.pdf) werden deze Belgische klimaatmodelprojecties gebruikt om de vork van klimaatveranderingssignalen aan te passen op basis van het uitgebreidde modelensemble van alle beschikbare CMIP5 globale klimaatmodelberekeningen(https://pcmdi.llnl.gov/mips/cmip5/) en EURO-CORDEX regionale klimaatmodelberekeningen (https://euro-cordex.net/060378/index.php.en). Dit multi-model ensemble van klimaatveranderingssignalen of -factoren werd gebruikt om een statistische neerschaling of meer specifiek een kwantielperturbatiemethode toe te passen op het waargenomen klimatologisch grid van het Koninklijk Meteorologisch Instituut van België. Uit deze ensembles werden 5de, 50ste en 95ste percentielen van veranderingen, die overeenkomen met een gemiddeld (50ste percentielen) en hoog (5de of 95ste percentielen) impactscenario, verkregen voor de variabelen: neerslag, temperatuur, relatieve vochtigheid, windsnelheid, globale zonnestraling en potentiële evapotranspiratie. 1/ Simulations et projections climatiques journalières à une haute résolution spatiale de 0.025° ou 2.8 km pour 3 modèles climatiques régionaux (service de téléchargement avec fichiers NetCDF) : Les simulations et projections climatiques journalières pour la Belgique ont été produites dans le cadre du projet CORDEX.be I (2015-2017) financé par Belspo. Ces données de modèle climatique au format NetCDF pour 3 modèles climatiques régionaux (ALARO-0, COSMO-CLM5.0-TERRA-URB en COSMO-CLM5.0) sont été obtenues par la méthode « dynamical downscaling » , après laquelle un « regridding » à une grille commune de 0.025° ou 2.8 km est appliqué. Belgische Klimasimulationen und Projektionen für andere regionale Klimamodelle (ALARO-0 - RMIB-UGent, COSMO-CLM - KULeuven) entsprechend den neuesten Emissionsszenarien oder "Shared Socioeconomic Pathways" werden derzeit im Rahmen des CORDEX.be II-Projekts berechnet und werden bis 2026 verfügbar sein (https://cordex.meteo.be/). 2/ Klimaindikatoren für ein gegenwärtiges (1975) und zukünftiges (2085) Zieljahr unter einem mittleren und hohen Auswirkungsszenario (Ansicht und Download-Service mit Rasterdateien): In dem von Belspo finanzierten Folgeprojekt "CICADA" (2019-2021, https://www.belspo.be/belspo/brain-be/projects/FinalReports/CICADAbe_FinRep.pdf) wurden diese belgischen Klimamodellprojektionen verwendet, um die Abzweigung der Klimawandelsignale auf der Grundlage des erweiterten Modellensembles aller verfügbaren globalen CMIP5-Klimamodellrechnungen (https://pcmdi.llnl.gov/mips/cmip5/) und regionalen EURO-CORDEX-Klimamodellrechnungen (https://euro-cordex.net/060378/index.php.en) anzupassen. Dieses Multi-Modell-Ensemble von Klimaänderungssignalen oder -faktoren wurde verwendet, um ein statistisches Downscaling oder genauer gesagt eine Quantileperturbationsmethode auf das beobachtete Klimagitter des Königlichen Meteorologischen Instituts von Belgien anzuwenden. Aus diesen Ensembles wurden für die Variablen Niederschlag, Temperatur, relative Luftfeuchtigkeit, Windgeschwindigkeit, globale Sonneneinstrahlung und potenzielle Evapotranspiration 5, 50 und 95 Perzentile der Veränderungen ermittelt, die einem Szenario mit mittleren (50 Perzentile) und starken (5 oder 95 Perzentile) Auswirkungen entsprechen.
