Le jeu de données représente le découpage sous forme de polygones de la Belgique en près de 20.000 secteurs statistiques. Le secteur statistique est l’unité territoriale de base qui résulte de la subdivision du territoire des communes par STATBEL dès 1970 pour la diffusion de ses statistiques à un niveau plus fin que le niveau communal. Un secteur statistique ne peut pas s’étendre sur deux communes et tout point du territoire communal fait partie d’un et d’un seul secteur statistique. Les versions 1970 et 1981 sont représentées sur support analogique tandis que les versions 2001, 2011, 2018, 2019 etc. sont disponibles sous format numérique vectoriel. Ils ont été délimités et représentés sur des fonds topographiques analogiques à 1/10.000. Depuis, ils ont été actualisés à plusieurs occasions, à savoir: • le Recensement général de la Population et des Logements de 1981 : pour tenir compte de l’accroissement des noyaux d’habitat, des nouveaux travaux d’infrastructure ainsi que des nouvelles limites administratives issues la fusion des communes survenue depuis le recensement de 1970 ; • le Recensement général de la Population et des Logements de 1991 : pour intégrer les nouvelles limites administratives issues de la fusion des communes à Anvers ; • l’Enquête socio-économique 2001 : pour tenir compte des échanges de territoires entre communes, de l’accroissement des noyaux d’habitat et des zones d’emploi ainsi que des nouveaux travaux d’infrastructure comme le TGV ; • le Recensement de la Population et des Logements de 2011 : pour intégrer les nouvelles limites communales issues d’un échange de territoire entre deux communes (Seneffe et Manage en Province du Hainaut) ; • en 2018 : pour intégrer un échange de territoire entre la Belgique et les Pays-Bas et inclure la zone intertidale dans le territoire des communes jouxtant la Mer du Nord ainsi que la nouvelle version des limites administratives publiées par l’Administration générale de la Documentation patrimoniale (AGDP) ; • depuis 2019, les limites des secteurs statistiques sont revues annuellement à partir des limites communales fournies par l’Administration Générale de la Documentation Patrimoniale (AGDP) de manière à tenir compte de leurs évolutions et des corrections géométriques. Les versions numériques disponibles sont dérivées de la vectorisation des cartes analogiques à 1/10.000 de 1981 référencées dans le CRS EPSG 31370 (Lambert belge 72) au moyen de tables à digitaliser électroniques. Sindsdien zijn ze verschillende keren bijgewerkt, namelijk: • de Algemene Volkstelling en Woningtelling van 1981: rekening houdend met de toename van woningkernen, nieuwe infrastructuurwerken en nieuwe administratieve grenzen als gevolg van de fusie van gemeenten sinds de volkstelling van 1970; • de Algemene Volkstelling en Woningtelling van 1991: om de nieuwe administratieve grenzen als gevolg van de fusie van de Antwerpse gemeenten te integreren; • de sociaaleconomische enquête van 2001: om rekening te houden met de uitwisseling van territoria tussen gemeenten, de toename van wooncentra en werkgelegenheidsgebieden, evenals nieuwe infrastructuurwerken zoals de TGV; • de volkstelling en woningtelling 2011: om de nieuwe gemeentegrenzen te integreren als resultaat van een territoriumuitwisseling tussen twee gemeenten (Seneffe en Manage in de provincie Henegouwen); • in 2018: om een territoriumuitwisseling tussen België en Nederland te integreren en de intergetijdenzone op het grondgebied van de aan de Noordzee grenzende gemeenten op te nemen, evenals de nieuwe versie van de administratieve grenzen gepubliceerd door de Algemene Administratie van de Patrimoniumdocumentatie (AAPD); • sinds 2019 worden de grenzen van de statistische sectoren jaarlijks herzien op basis van de gemeentegrenzen verstrekt door de Algemene Administratie van de Patrimoniumdocumentatie (AAPD) om rekening te houden met hun wijzigingen en geometrische correcties. De beschikbare digitale versies zijn afgeleid van de vectorisatie van de analoge 1 / 10.000 kaarten uit 1981 waarnaar wordt verwezen in CRS EPSG 31370 (Belgisch Lambert 72) door middel van elektronische digitaliseringstabellen. Seitdem wurden sie mehrmals aktualisiert: • die allgemeine Volks- und Wohnungszählung von 1981: unter Berücksichtigung der Zunahme von Wohnsiedlungen, neuen Infrastrukturarbeiten und neuen Verwaltungsgrenzen aufgrund der Fusion von Gemeinden seit der Volkszählung von 1970; • die allgemeine Volks- und Wohnungszählung von 1991: zur Integration der neuen Verwaltungsgrenzen, die sich aus der Fusion der Antwerpener Gemeinden ergaben; • die sozioökonomische Erhebung von 2001: um den Gebietsaustausch zwischen den Gemeinden, die Zunahme von Wohnsiedlungen und Beschäftigungsgebieten sowie neue Infrastrukturarbeiten wie den TGV zu berücksichtigen; • Zensus und Wohnungszählung 2011: Integration der neuen Gemeindegrenzen, die sich aus einem Gebietsaustausch zwischen zwei Gemeinden (Seneffe und Manage in der Provinz Hennegau) ergeben; • 2018: Integration eines Gebietsaustauschs zwischen Belgien und den Niederlanden und Einbeziehung der Gezeitenzone auf dem Gebiet der an die Nordsee grenzenden Gemeinden sowie der neuen Version der von der Generalverwaltung der Vermögensdokumentation veröffentlichten Verwaltungsgrenzen; • seit 2019 werden die Grenzen der statistischen Sektoren jährlich auf der Grundlage der von der Generalverwaltung der Vermögensdokumentation bereitgestellten Gemeindegrenzen überarbeitet, um deren Änderungen und geometrische Korrekturen zu berücksichtigen. Die verfügbaren digitalen Versionen sind aus der Vektorisierung der analogen 1/10.000-Karten aus dem Jahr 1981 abgeleitet, auf die in CRS EPSG 31370 (Belgischer Lambert 72) verwiesen wird, mittels elektronischer Digitalisierungstabellen. Die Version von 2001 basiert auf einer verallgemeinerten Version (1 / 10.000) der Verwaltungsgrenzen, die vom Nationalen Geographischen Institut (NGI) zur Verfügung gestellt wurden, während die folgenden Versionen auf präziseren Versionen basieren, die von der Generalverwaltung der Vermögensdokumentation zur Verfügung gestellt wurden.
